In 1971, Al Stewart and his brother in law, William Godwin Jr, decided to open a jewelry store in Downtown Selma. Together they grew their business into a Johnston County staple.
When William passed away, Al continued to build on their dream. When Al's daughter, Kim, was 12 years old she began working with her dad on Saturdays.
From working with her dad, Kim developed the same passion for jewelry and her favorite little North Carolina town, Selma.
Al passed away in 2012, but Kim continues to serve the people of Johnston County and the surrounding areas doing what she loves.
The Ladies of Selma Jewelry:
Our small team has a combined experience of over 80 years! We pride ourselves on our customer service and we hope that all of our customers feel like a part of the Selma Jewelry family when they are shopping with us.
Our most recent addition to our team, is our Marketing Manager, Logan. Logan is a recent graduate of Campbell University, and she just happens to be Kim's daughter and Al's granddaughter. She has a passion for small buisnesses and she hopes that her work at Selma Jewelry would make her Papa Al proud.
Our hope is that with the revitalization of Selma, with added business and restaurants, we will be here to serve future generations of our county and the surrounding area.
